National Convention Party (Mozambique)
The National Convention Party (Portuguese: Partido de Convenção Nacional, PCN) is a minor political party in Mozambique. It has not achieved significant electoral success in national elections.
The PCN was founded in the period following the end of the Mozambican Civil War and the transition to a multi-party system. Like many of the smaller parties that emerged at this time, it has struggled to gain widespread support or representation in the Assembly of the Republic.
The party's political platform has typically focused on issues of national unity, economic development, and social justice. However, detailed information regarding specific policy positions and activities is limited due to its low profile.
The PCN has participated in multiple general elections, but its vote share has consistently remained below the threshold required to win seats in parliament. The party's influence on Mozambican politics is therefore minimal.
Further research into the PCN's internal structure, leadership, and historical development is limited due to the scarcity of publicly available information.
