Skin and Bones (Foo Fighters album)

Skin and Bones is a live album by American rock band Foo Fighters, released on November 7, 2006, through Roswell and RCA Records. The album was recorded in August 2006 at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles, and features acoustic arrangements and reworked versions of previously released Foo Fighters songs, as well as a few covers.

The album showcases a different side of the Foo Fighters, emphasizing their songwriting and musicianship in a more intimate setting. Rather than the band's usual hard rock sound, Skin and Bones features a more mellow and melodic approach, incorporating instruments such as acoustic guitars, mandolins, accordions, and a string section.

The tracklist includes many of the band's popular singles, such as "My Hero," "Everlong," and "Times Like These," presented in stripped-down arrangements. The album also includes performances of lesser-known tracks and covers, highlighting the band's versatility.

A DVD of the same name, Skin and Bones, was also released, featuring the entire Pantages Theatre performance in video format. The album and DVD were generally well-received by critics, who praised the band's ability to translate their energetic rock sound into a compelling acoustic performance. Skin and Bones debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. The album spawned one single, "Skin and Bones," which received moderate airplay.
