Goodbye Again (TV series)
Goodbye Again was a British television series that aired on ITV in 1969. It was a situation comedy starring Clive Dunn and Jack Smethurst. The series centered around the lives of two elderly men, Charlie Moffatt (Dunn) and Jake Johnson (Smethurst), who are evicted from their lodging house and forced to move into a high-rise apartment building.
The humor derived from the culture clash between the two old men and their modern surroundings, as well as their interactions with the other residents of the building. Charlie was portrayed as a resourceful but somewhat eccentric character, while Jake was depicted as more grumpy and resistant to change.
Goodbye Again ran for one series of seven episodes. While it provided a comedic look at aging and the challenges of adapting to new environments, it did not achieve lasting popularity and is not widely remembered today. Details surrounding its production and reception are scarce.
