Monck (federal electoral district)

Monck was a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that existed from 1867 to 1904. It was created as part of the British North America Act, 1867. The district was named after Sir Charles Monck, 4th Viscount Monck, the Governor General of British North America at the time of Confederation.

The riding's boundaries were primarily located in the Niagara Peninsula. Specifically, it encompassed the townships of Caistor, Gainsborough, Grimsby, and Pelham.

Monck was represented by Members of Parliament (MPs) in the House of Commons of Canada. Elections were held in this district as part of the general federal elections that occurred during its existence.

In 1903, the riding was abolished and its territory was distributed primarily into the Lincoln and Haldimand electoral districts as part of a redistribution of federal ridings.
