Mo Henry

Mo Henry is a fictional character created by American author Jonathan Lethem. Mo Henry appears as a central figure in Lethem's 1999 novel, Motherless Brooklyn.

In Motherless Brooklyn, Mo Henry is one of the four older orphans taken in and cared for by Frank Minna, a low-level mobster who serves as a surrogate father. Along with the other boys (Danny, Gilbert, and Frankie), Mo is part of Frank's "crew," essentially acting as Frank's muscle and doing odd jobs. He's characterized as the most physically imposing of the group.

Mo is fiercely loyal to Frank and the other orphans. He is portrayed as having a strong, silent demeanor and is often used as the primary enforcer within Frank's operations. While less verbose than Gilbert or Frankie, Mo provides a sense of stability and protection to the group.

Following Frank Minna's murder, Mo, along with the protagonist Lionel Essrog (another member of the orphanage quartet), becomes deeply involved in investigating Frank's death, navigating a web of deceit and danger within Brooklyn's criminal underworld.
