Mission: Impossible (1999 video game)

Mission: Impossible is a stealth action video game released in 1999, based on the 1996 Mission: Impossible film. Developed by Infogrames Melbourne House and Ocean Software, and published by Infogrames, the game puts players in the role of Ethan Hunt, an Impossible Missions Force (IMF) agent.

The gameplay focuses on utilizing gadgets, disguises, and stealth to complete objectives rather than direct combat. Players navigate various environments, often requiring them to avoid detection by guards, bypass security systems, and solve puzzles.

Mission: Impossible was released for the Nintendo 64, PlayStation, and Game Boy Color. The Nintendo 64 version featured a distinct visual style and level design compared to the PlayStation version, although both share the same general storyline. The Game Boy Color version is a more simplified, top-down adventure game.

The plot loosely follows the events of the film, with Ethan Hunt framed for the murders of his IMF team. He must clear his name and uncover the real culprit by infiltrating secure locations and gathering evidence.
