Mirror (The Rapture album)

Mirror is the third and final studio album by the American dance-punk band The Rapture. It was released on September 9, 2011, through DFA Records and Modular Recordings.

The album marked a departure from the band's earlier, more overtly dance-punk sound, incorporating elements of psychedelic rock, pop, and electronic music. Production was handled primarily by Gabriel Andruzzi and Luke Jenner of The Rapture, with additional production from Philippe Zdar of Cassius.

Mirror received mixed reviews upon its release. While some critics praised the band's willingness to experiment and expand their sonic palette, others found the album to be inconsistent and lacking the energy and immediacy of their previous work. Common criticisms included the shift away from the band's signature sound and the perceived lack of strong hooks.

Despite the mixed critical reception, Mirror peaked at number 37 on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. The album spawned several singles, including "How Deep Is Your Love?", which was met with positive reception, and "Sail Away."

Mirror represents the final studio album released by The Rapture before their eventual breakup.
