Miami County Courthouse (Indiana)

The Miami County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located in Peru, Indiana, the county seat of Miami County. Constructed between 1915 and 1917, the courthouse is a significant example of Neoclassical architecture. Designed by architects Richards, McCarty, and Bulford of Columbus, Ohio, it replaced an earlier courthouse that had become inadequate for the growing county's needs.

The building is primarily constructed of limestone and features a prominent portico with Corinthian columns. A large dome sits atop the structure, making it a recognizable landmark in Peru. Inside, the courthouse houses the county's judicial and administrative offices, as well as courtrooms.

The Miami County Courthouse is historically significant for its architectural merit and its role as the center of government for Miami County. It serves as a symbol of the county's history and development. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
