Max Rose

Max Rose (born November 28, 1986) is an American politician and U.S. Army veteran. He served as the U.S. Representative for New York's 11th congressional district from 2019 to 2021.

Rose was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Wesleyan University and later earned a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics.

Before entering politics, Rose served in the U.S. Army as an active-duty officer and deployed to Afghanistan with the 1st Armored Division. He received a Bronze Star for his service. After his active duty, he continued to serve in the Army National Guard.

In 2018, Rose ran for and won the election to represent New York's 11th congressional district, which includes Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn. He defeated incumbent Republican Dan Donovan. During his term in Congress, Rose focused on issues such as infrastructure, healthcare, and veterans' affairs. He served on the House Committee on Homeland Security and the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs.

In 2020, Rose ran for re-election but was defeated by Republican Nicole Malliotakis. Following his departure from Congress, Rose served in the Biden administration at the Pentagon. He later unsuccessfully ran for the same congressional seat again in 2022.
