Max Rabes

Max Rabes (1868-1944) was a German archivist and historian. He served as the director of the Stadtarchiv Hannover (Hanover City Archives) from 1905 until his retirement in 1933.

Rabes made significant contributions to the study of the history of Hanover, particularly concerning its medieval and early modern periods.
