Stark County Courthouse (Ohio)

The Stark County Courthouse is the primary judicial and administrative building for Stark County, Ohio. Located in downtown Canton, Ohio, it houses the courtrooms and offices for the county's Common Pleas Court, Probate Court, Juvenile Court, and Clerk of Courts, among other county government functions.

The current courthouse is the fourth to serve Stark County. It is a Beaux-Arts style building constructed between 1895 and 1897. Architects for the building were J.W. Yost and Frank Packard of Columbus, Ohio. The courthouse is notable for its grand architecture, including its impressive facade, large dome, and elaborate interior detailing. The exterior is constructed of granite.

Throughout its history, the Stark County Courthouse has been the site of numerous trials, legal proceedings, and county government activities. It serves as a prominent landmark within the city of Canton and a symbol of justice and government within Stark County. The courthouse is open to the public during regular business hours for those conducting business with the court or county government.
