Matthew Clarke (footballer, born 1994)

Matthew Clarke (born October 2, 1994) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by the Brisbane Lions with pick #40 in the 2012 AFL Draft.

Clarke played his junior football at Morningside Football Club and represented Queensland in the 2012 AFL Under 18 Championships. He made his AFL debut for Brisbane in Round 1 of the 2014 season against North Melbourne. He primarily plays as a ruckman.

After a period of limited senior opportunities with Brisbane, Clarke was traded to the North Melbourne Football Club at the end of the 2018 season. He played for North Melbourne for several seasons before being traded to St Kilda at the conclusion of the 2023 season.
