Matt Butcher (footballer)

Matt Butcher (born May 14, 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Wycombe Wanderers.

Butcher began his career in the AFC Bournemouth academy, progressing through the youth ranks before signing his first professional contract. He gained first-team experience through loan spells at various clubs, including Poole Town, Gosport Borough, and Woking.

He made his senior debut for AFC Bournemouth in the League Cup. Following his time at Bournemouth, he signed for Accrington Stanley, where he became a regular first-team player.

In January 2023, Butcher signed for Wycombe Wanderers.
