Mathilda (gastropod)

Mathilda is a genus of minute sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Mathildidae. These snails are characterized by their slender, high-spired shells which are typically ornamented with spiral ridges and axial ribs. The shells are generally small, often less than 10mm in length.

Mathilda snails are found in a variety of marine habitats, often in the subtidal zone and deeper waters. They are distributed globally, though the exact ranges of specific species may vary.
