Mark Nicholson (politician)
Mark Nicholson is a British politician who served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the North West England region. He was a member of the UK Independence Party (UKIP).
Nicholson was elected to the European Parliament in 2014. During his time in the European Parliament, he sat as a member of the Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy (EFDD) group. He served on several committees, including the Committee on Transport and Tourism.
His political positions generally aligned with the UKIP platform, advocating for British withdrawal from the European Union and tighter immigration controls. He was a vocal supporter of the Brexit campaign.
Nicholson ceased to be an MEP following the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union on January 31, 2020.
