Mala Bosna (river)

The Mala Bosna is a short river in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a left tributary of the Bosna River, joining it near Ilidža, a suburb of Sarajevo. The Mala Bosna's length is approximately 11 kilometers. Its source is a strong karstic spring in the foothills of Mount Igman. While short, the river is important locally for its contribution to the larger Bosna River system and for the water resources it provides in the Ilidža region. The Mala Bosna is known for its relatively clean and cold water, which is characteristic of spring-fed rivers in the Dinaric Alps region.
