Luther Davis (American football)
Luther Davis (born November 20, 1961) is a former professional American football player. A defensive tackle, he played in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons, from 1986 to 1993.
Davis played college football at the University of Utah. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the eighth round of the 1986 NFL Draft. He played for the Cardinals from 1986 to 1990. Davis then played for the San Diego Chargers in 1991 and 1992, and finished his career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1993.
Throughout his NFL career, Davis was known for his strength and ability to disrupt opposing offensive lines. He recorded a career-high 6.5 sacks in 1989 with the Cardinals.
