Libera!

Libera.Chat is an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) network founded in 2021 by former staff and volunteers of Freenode. It was created in response to concerns about the new ownership of Freenode and its impact on the community.

Libera.Chat aims to provide a free and open platform for open source projects and related communities to collaborate and communicate. Its core values include community governance, independence, and a focus on supporting free and open-source software (FOSS).

The network offers a range of features typically found in IRC networks, including channels, user accounts, and various bots and services to assist with channel management and moderation. Users connect to Libera.Chat using IRC clients.
