Lia Laats
Lia Laats (born 5 May 1926, Tallinn, Estonia – died 18 November 2004, Tallinn, Estonia) was an Estonian actress, primarily known for her comedic roles in theatre and film.
Laats graduated from the Estonian State Theatre Institute in 1948. She began her acting career at the Estonian Drama Theatre (now the Estonian National Drama Theatre) in Tallinn, where she remained a company member for most of her professional life.
Her stage roles included a wide range of comedic and character parts, contributing significantly to the theatre's repertoire for several decades. She was particularly noted for her sharp wit and ability to portray relatable, often eccentric, characters.
