Legend of the Dragon (film)
Legend of the Dragon is a 1991 Hong Kong martial arts comedy film directed by Stephen Chow and produced by John Chong. The film stars Stephen Chow, Teresa Mo, Yuen Wah, and Bryan Leung.
The film tells the story of Lung, a young man raised on a remote island who is a natural at martial arts. He is sent to Hong Kong to learn how to live in the city and find work. He quickly becomes involved in a series of misadventures, facing off against rival martial arts schools and criminal gangs, all while trying to win the heart of a local girl.
Legend of the Dragon is known for its slapstick humor, over-the-top action sequences, and Chow's signature "mo lei tau" style of comedy. While not as widely acclaimed as some of Chow's later works, it is still considered a classic of Hong Kong comedy cinema and a key example of his early directorial style. The film blends traditional kung fu elements with modern comedic sensibilities.
