Jim Warne
Jim Warne (born December 24, 1963) is an Oglala Lakota tribal member, educator, public speaker, and former athlete. He is known for his work promoting Native American education, health, and cultural preservation.
Warne attended Arizona State University on a football scholarship, earning a Bachelor's degree in Education. He later received a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University.
Throughout his career, Warne has been involved in various initiatives focused on improving the lives of Native Americans. He has worked with tribal schools and organizations to develop culturally relevant curriculum and educational programs. He frequently speaks on topics such as historical trauma, cultural identity, and the importance of education for Native youth. He has also been involved in efforts to improve access to healthcare and promote healthy lifestyles within Native communities.
