Daniel Biro (composer, musician)

Daniel Biro (born in Budapest, Hungary) is a British-based composer and musician, primarily known for his work in experimental and contemporary classical music, as well as his explorations in electronics and improvisation.

Biro's compositions often incorporate elements of free improvisation, graphic scores, and interdisciplinary collaborations with artists from other fields such as dance, theatre, and visual arts. His work frequently explores the boundaries between composed and improvised music, and he has a strong interest in microtonality and alternative tuning systems.

Biro is also active as a performer, playing piano, electronics, and various keyboard instruments. He has performed extensively both as a soloist and in ensembles, and has collaborated with numerous musicians across a range of genres.

In addition to his compositional and performance work, Biro is the founder and director of the Central European Cultural Platform (CECP), an organization dedicated to promoting contemporary arts and culture from Central and Eastern Europe. Through the CECP, Biro organizes concerts, festivals, and other events that showcase the work of emerging and established artists from the region.
