Pacemaker (film)
Pacemaker, also known as Runway Cop (Korean: 런닝맨; RR: Reonningmaen), is a 2012 South Korean sports drama film directed by Kim Dal-joong. The film stars Kim Myung-min, Ahn Sung-ki, and Go Ara.
The story centers on Joo Man-ho (Kim Myung-min), a former marathon runner forced to abandon his own dreams of competing professionally after suffering an injury. He becomes a "pacemaker," running alongside elite marathoners to set their pace. Given an unexpected opportunity to run a full marathon himself at the London Olympics, Man-ho must overcome his past and embrace a second chance at realizing his own aspirations. The film explores themes of dedication, sacrifice, and the pursuit of dreams against overwhelming odds. Ahn Sung-ki plays Coach Park Sung-il, who encourages and mentors Man-ho, while Go Ara plays Yoo Ji-won, a talented but rebellious pole vaulter.
