Lashari
The Lashari are a Baloch tribe found primarily in the Sindh and Balochistan provinces of Pakistan. They are considered part of the larger Baloch tribal confederation and trace their lineage back to the Rind branch. Historically, the Lashari were known for their pastoral lifestyle and involvement in tribal conflicts and alliances.
The Lashari tribe is organized into various sub-tribes and clans, each with its own internal structure and leadership. Social hierarchy within the tribe is traditionally based on lineage, land ownership, and influence.
While many Lashari continue to live in rural areas and maintain their traditional way of life, a significant number have migrated to urban centers in search of economic opportunities. They are involved in various professions, including agriculture, business, and government service.
The Lashari language is Balochi, which belongs to the Northwestern Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. They adhere to Islam, primarily Sunni Islam.
Their history is interwoven with that of other Baloch tribes and regional powers, and they have played a role in the political and social landscape of Balochistan and Sindh for centuries. Like other Baloch tribes, they have a strong tradition of oral literature, including poetry and storytelling.
