Lady in the Lake (TV series)

Lady in the Lake is an upcoming American drama limited series based on the 2019 novel of the same name by Laura Lippman. It is created by Alma Har'el and Dre Ryan, with Har'el directing.

The series is set in Baltimore in 1966, where an unsolved murder pushes Maddie Schwartz, a Jewish housewife, to reinvent herself as an investigative journalist. Her new pursuit puts her on a collision course with Cleo Sherwood, a Black woman navigating the racial and political tensions of the city.

The series stars Natalie Portman as Maddie Schwartz and Moses Ingram as Cleo Sherwood. The cast also includes Y'Lan Noel, Mikey Madison, Brett Gelman, Noah Jupe, Byron Bowers, and Josiah Cross.

Lady in the Lake is produced by Crazyrose and Endeavor Content. Natalie Portman and Sophie Mas serve as executive producers, alongside Alma Har'el, Dre Ryan, Christopher Leggett, Laura Lippman, Jean-Marc Vallée, and Nathan Ross.

The series premiered on Apple TV+ on July 19, 2024.
