Gust (company)

Gust Co. Ltd. (株式会社ガスト, Kabushiki-gaisha Gasuto) is a Japanese video game developer and publisher, primarily known for its Atelier series of role-playing games. The company was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Nagano, Japan.

Initially focused on developing games for the PlayStation console, Gust gained recognition with the release of Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg in 1997, which launched the long-running Atelier series. This series is characterized by its focus on alchemy, crafting, and character interactions, often featuring a slice-of-life narrative style.

Beyond the Atelier series, Gust has also developed and published other titles, including the Ar tonelico series and Nights of Azure series. These games often share similar themes and gameplay mechanics with the Atelier series, such as crafting systems and strong character relationships.
