Kuroi Station (Niigata)
Kuroi Station is a railway station located in the city of Niigata, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. It is served by the Echigo Line, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East).
The station has two side platforms serving two tracks. The station building is located adjacent to Platform 1. It provides access to local bus services and taxi stands.
Kuroi Station opened on March 15, 1912, as a station on the Echigo Railway. The Echigo Railway was nationalized on January 1, 1927, becoming part of the Japanese Government Railways (JGR). With the privatization of JNR on April 1, 1987, the station came under the control of JR East.
The station is situated in a primarily residential area. Nearby points of interest include local schools and small businesses. Service patterns consist primarily of local trains connecting Niigata with Yoshida and Kashiwazaki.
