Krill (band)

Krill was an American indie rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 2011 and disbanded in 2015. The band consisted of Jonah Furman (vocals, guitar), Aaron Rourk (bass), and Luke Pyenson (drums). Known for their angular, often discordant sound and Furman's distinctive vocal delivery, Krill gained a following in the Boston and wider indie rock scenes.

Their music often explored themes of anxiety, uncertainty, and existentialism, delivered with a blend of raw energy and self-aware humor. They released several EPs and two full-length albums: Lucky Leaves (2013) and A Distant Fist Unclenching (2015).

Prior to disbanding, Krill toured extensively, sharing the stage with acts such as Speedy Ortiz and Pile. While relatively short-lived, Krill's influence can be seen in the continued output of its members, who have gone on to pursue other musical projects. Furman has continued writing and performing, and the other members have remained active in the music industry. The band's discography remains available through various streaming services and online retailers.
