Kim Nielsen (guitarist)

Kim Nielsen is a Danish guitarist primarily known for his work in the heavy metal band Artillery. He joined Artillery in 1981 and has been a consistent member of the band, contributing to their distinctive thrash metal sound through his rhythm guitar work. Nielsen's playing style is characterized by precise, driving riffs and a strong emphasis on the band's signature aggressive energy. He has performed on all of Artillery's studio albums, from Fear of Tomorrow (1985) to X (2021). Alongside guitarist Michael Stützer, Nielsen forms one half of Artillery's long-standing guitar duo, contributing significantly to the band's songwriting and overall musical identity. While not typically known for elaborate solos, his rhythmic foundation is crucial to the band's overall sound. He has also participated in numerous live performances and tours with Artillery throughout their career.
