Lucy Liu

Lucy Liu (born December 2, 1968) is an American actress, producer, director, and artist. She rose to prominence for her role as Ling Woo in the television series Ally McBeal (1998–2002), for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Liu's film roles include Charlie's Angels (2000), Shanghai Noon (2000), Chicago (2002), Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003), Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004), Lucky Number Slevin (2006), and the Kung Fu Panda franchise (2008-2016), where she voiced Viper. She also starred as Joan Watson in the CBS procedural drama Elementary (2012–2019).

Beyond acting, Liu is an accomplished visual artist, working in various mediums, including painting, photography, and collage. Her artwork has been exhibited in galleries and museums. She is also a UNICEF Ambassador.
