Kim Christensen (footballer, born 1980)

Kim Christensen (born 16 July 1980) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper.

Christensen began his senior career at Brønshøj Boldklub before moving to FC Nordsjælland in 2004. After impressive performances for Nordsjælland, he transferred to Swedish side IFK Göteborg in 2008. He spent several seasons there, becoming a fan favorite and winning the Swedish Cup in 2008.

In 2010, Christensen returned to Denmark, joining FC Copenhagen. He served primarily as a backup goalkeeper during his time at Copenhagen, supporting Johan Wiland and later Robin Olsen. Despite limited playing time, he was part of the squad that won several Danish Superliga titles and Danish Cups.

Christensen also earned a single cap for the Danish national team in 2008.

After his playing career, Christensen has worked as a goalkeeping coach.
