Essex Street station (Hudson–Bergen Light Rail)

Essex Street station is a station on the Hudson–Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) in Jersey City, New Jersey. Located at the intersection of Essex Street and Montgomery Street in the Paulus Hook neighborhood, it serves as a major transfer point on the HBLR system.

The station consists of two side platforms serving two tracks. It provides service along the HBLR's West Side–Tonnelle Avenue route and the Bayonne–World Trade Center route. Passengers can transfer between these two lines at this station.

Essex Street station is a vital transportation hub, connecting residents and visitors to various destinations throughout Jersey City, Hoboken, and Bayonne, as well as providing access to the PATH system via Exchange Place station, a short distance away. It is easily accessible by foot, bicycle, and local bus services.
