Keith Campbell (motorcyclist)

Keith Campbell (born 2 October 1968 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia – died 13 July 2008 in Riccione, Italy) was an Australian professional motorcycle racer.

Campbell competed primarily in the Supersport World Championship and Superbike World Championship. He won the Supersport World Championship in 2002, riding for the Suzuki Alstare Corona team. He was a consistent front-runner in the series throughout the early 2000s.

Before his World Supersport success, Campbell raced in the Australian Superbike Championship and the Australian Supersport Championship, achieving several victories and podiums. He also participated in selected rounds of the 500cc Grand Prix World Championship in the 1990s.

Campbell's career was tragically cut short when he died in a racing accident during a round of the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup at Misano World Circuit in Italy. He was 39 years old. His death was mourned by the racing community worldwide.
