Kalefeld
Kalefeld is a municipality located in the district of Northeim, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 15 km south of Northeim, and roughly 30km northwest of Göttingen.
Kalefeld is composed of several villages or "Ortsteile" including, but not limited to, Kalefeld (the namesake village), Eboldshausen, Düderode, Sebexen, and Westerhof. The municipality covers a significant rural area characterized by agriculture and forestry.
Historically, the area that comprises Kalefeld has been inhabited for centuries, with evidence of settlements dating back to prehistoric times. The modern municipality was formed through administrative reforms and consolidations.
