KSM (band)

KSM was an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2006. The band's original lineup consisted of Shelby Spalione (vocals), Shae Padilla (lead guitar), Katie Cecil (rhythm guitar, vocals), Sophia Melon (bass), and Kate Cabebe (drums). KSM gained recognition through their association with The Go-Go's, who mentored and initially managed the band.

KSM released their debut album, Read Between the Lines, in 2009. The album featured the singles "Read Between the Lines" and "I Want You to Want Me," a cover of the Cheap Trick song. The band toured extensively, opening for various acts including Demi Lovato and Paramore.

In 2010, KSM underwent lineup changes. Kate Cabebe departed and was replaced by Haley Rose. Shortly thereafter, Shelby Spalione also left the band. In 2010, the remaining members released the single “Rescue Me”.

The band ultimately disbanded in 2010. Each of the former members have pursued other musical and personal endeavors following the disbandment of KSM.
