Bostwick (Bladensburg, Maryland)

Bostwick is a historic house located in Bladensburg, Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-and-a-half story, five-bay, Georgian-style brick dwelling built around 1746 by Christopher Lowndes. Bostwick is significant as an example of early Georgian architecture in the region and for its association with the Lowndes family, prominent merchants and landowners in 18th and 19th century Maryland.

The house features a symmetrical facade with a central entrance door and evenly spaced windows. The interior retains many original features, including wood paneling, fireplaces, and floors. Over time, Bostwick has undergone several renovations and additions, but it maintains its original character and integrity.

Bostwick is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing property to the Bladensburg Historic District. Today, the house is privately owned and used as a residence.
