Jim Cleary (hurler)

Jim Cleary is an Irish retired hurler who played as a right wing-back for the Kilkenny senior team.

Cleary enjoyed a successful career at inter-county level, winning two All-Ireland medals, two Leinster medals and one National Hurling League medal. He was an All-Star award winner in 1992.

At club level, Cleary played for Bennettsbridge. He won numerous county titles with the club.

Following his retirement from playing, Cleary has been involved in coaching and management at various levels. He is regarded as a respected figure in Kilkenny hurling.
