Josh Jackson (basketball)
Josh Jackson is an American professional basketball player. Primarily a small forward, he has also played shooting guard.
Born on February 10, 1997, in San Diego, California, Jackson played college basketball for the University of Kansas Jayhawks during the 2016–17 season, where he was recognized as one of the top freshmen in the nation.
He was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft. Jackson played for the Suns from 2017 to 2019. He was then traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2019 and subsequently played for the Grizzlies and their G League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle.
In November 2020, Jackson was traded to the Detroit Pistons. He played for the Pistons for one season before being traded to the Sacramento Kings in 2021, though he was later traded back to the Pistons. He has also played for the Boston Celtics.
Known for his athleticism and defensive potential, Jackson's NBA career has been marked by periods of promise and inconsistency. He has displayed scoring ability and rebounding prowess at times, but has also struggled with shooting efficiency and decision-making.
