Joseph Kaiser (tenor)

Joseph Kaiser is a Canadian-Austrian operatic tenor. Born in Montreal, Canada, he is known for his interpretations of Mozart roles, particularly Tamino in The Magic Flute, as well as roles in operas by Benjamin Britten and Richard Strauss.

Kaiser received his musical education at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal and later at the Juilliard School in New York City. He gained significant recognition after winning several competitions, including Operalia in 2005.

He has performed at major opera houses worldwide, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Vienna State Opera, the Royal Opera House in London, and the Salzburg Festival. His repertoire also includes roles such as Narraboth in Salome, Fenton in Falstaff, and Flamand in Capriccio.

Beyond opera, Kaiser has also performed in concert and recital settings, showcasing his versatility as a vocalist. He is married to soprano Isabel Bayrakdarian.
