Johns River (New Hampshire)

The Johns River is a short river located in Coös County in northern New Hampshire, United States. It rises from the outlet of Christine Lake in the town of Stark and flows generally northwest for approximately 8 miles (13 km) to the Upper Ammonoosuc River near the village of Groveton in Northumberland. The river is known for its clear, cold water and its suitability for trout fishing. The river is paralleled for much of its length by New Hampshire Route 110. The surrounding terrain is primarily forested.
