Steve Alm
Steve Alm is a prosecutor and politician in Honolulu, Hawaii. He currently serves as the Prosecuting Attorney for the City and County of Honolulu.
Alm has a long history of public service in Hawaii. He previously served as the United States Attorney for the District of Hawaii, appointed by President Bill Clinton. Prior to that, he was a state judge in Hawaii’s First Circuit Court.
A key aspect of Alm's career has been his focus on addressing crime and recidivism. He is known for implementing innovative programs aimed at reducing repeat offenses and improving public safety. One of his well-known initiatives is "Weed and Seed," a community-based program that focuses on both law enforcement ("weeding") and community development ("seeding").
