Johnnie Jackson (American football)

Johnnie Jackson (born November 2, 1981) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head football coach at the United States Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS).

Jackson played college football as a running back at the University of Missouri. He rushed for over 1,000 yards in both his junior and senior seasons. He was named to the All-Big 12 Conference team multiple times.

After his collegiate career, Jackson was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL) in 2004. He spent the 2004 season on the Broncos' practice squad. He was later released and did not play in any regular season NFL games.

Following his playing career, Jackson transitioned into coaching. He served as a graduate assistant at the University of Missouri. He then held coaching positions at several high schools and colleges, including the University of Arkansas and the University of Houston.

In December 2022, Jackson was named the head football coach at the United States Naval Academy Preparatory School.
