John Kotz (basketball)
John Kotz (born May 12, 1919, in Racine, Wisconsin, died January 9, 1999) was an American professional basketball player. A 6'2" guard/forward, he played college basketball at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he was a two-time All-American.
Kotz played professionally in the National Basketball League (NBL) and the Basketball Association of America (BAA). He played for the Sheboygan Red Skins (NBL) from 1945 to 1949 and the Tri-Cities Blackhawks (BAA) during the 1949-50 season.
Kotz won an NBL championship with the Red Skins in 1946. He was known for his scoring ability and aggressive play.
