Jim Shea (judge)

Jim Shea is an American judge who currently serves as an Associate Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court.

Shea was nominated to the Connecticut Supreme Court by Governor Ned Lamont in 2020 and confirmed by the Connecticut General Assembly. Prior to his appointment to the state's highest court, Shea served as a judge of the Connecticut Appellate Court from 2017 to 2020. He was originally nominated to the Appellate Court by Governor Dannel Malloy.

Before becoming a judge, Shea practiced law for many years, focusing on civil litigation. He is a graduate of Yale Law School.
