Jim Donaldson (rugby union)

Jim Donaldson is a former Scottish international rugby union player. He played primarily as a flanker.

Donaldson gained prominence playing for Edinburgh Academicals, a club known for producing Scottish internationals. He earned his first cap for Scotland against Wales in 1979. He went on to represent Scotland in numerous international matches throughout the early 1980s, including Five Nations Championships matches.

He was known for his aggressive tackling, commitment in the loose, and overall work rate on the field. Donaldson was a key member of the Scottish pack during a period of relative success for the national team.

After retiring from international rugby, Donaldson remained involved in the sport through coaching and other administrative roles at the club level.
