Jesse Rodriguez (boxer)

Jesse Rodriguez (born January 20, 2000) is an American professional boxer. He is a former two-division world champion, having held the WBC super flyweight title from 2022 to 2023, and previously the vacant WBO world flyweight title in 2022.

Rodriguez, nicknamed "Bam," fights in the southpaw stance. He is known for his combination punching, hand speed, and footwork. His career has seen him compete primarily in the flyweight and super flyweight divisions.

Rodriguez turned professional in 2017 at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks. He gained significant attention when he defeated Carlos Cuadras in February 2022 to win the vacant WBO flyweight title on short notice, replacing Srisaket Sor Rungvisai. He subsequently vacated the flyweight title to move up to super flyweight.

In September 2022, he defeated Israel Gonzalez to retain his WBC super flyweight title. He relinquished the title in 2023.

Rodriguez is trained by Robert Garcia. He resides in San Antonio, Texas.
