Jaulian
Jaulian was an ancient Buddhist monastic complex located in present-day Taxila, Pakistan. It dates back to the Kushan period, specifically the 2nd century CE. The site includes a main stupa surrounded by smaller stupas, monastic cells, and an assembly hall. Excavations have revealed numerous sculptures, coins, and other artifacts, providing valuable insights into the religious and artistic traditions of the time. Jaulian is considered one of the best-preserved Buddhist monasteries in Taxila and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
