Jared Solomon (Pennsylvania politician)
Jared Solomon (born 1978) is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 202nd district. The 202nd district encompasses portions of Northeast Philadelphia.
Solomon graduated from George Washington University and earned a law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Prior to his election to the House, he worked as a lawyer and community advocate. He also served as an aide to former Philadelphia City Councilman Michael Nutter.
Solomon was first elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2016, defeating incumbent Mark Cohen. Since taking office, Solomon has focused on issues such as neighborhood revitalization, public safety, and government reform. He has sponsored legislation aimed at addressing blight, improving access to education, and supporting local businesses. He serves on several House committees.
Solomon resides in Philadelphia with his family.
