Muzz (band)

Muzz is an American rock band formed in 2020. The group consists of Paul Banks (of Interpol), Josh Kaufman (of Bonny Light Horseman and producer for numerous artists), and Matt Barrick (of The Walkmen and Jonathan Fire*Eater).

The band's music is generally described as indie rock, with influences ranging from alternative rock to art rock. Key characteristics of their sound include Banks' distinctive baritone vocals, Kaufman's intricate guitar work and production expertise, and Barrick's precise and driving drumming.

Muzz released their self-titled debut album on June 5, 2020, via Matador Records. The album received positive reviews from critics, who praised its songwriting, musicianship, and atmospheric quality. Following the release of their debut, Muzz toured selectively, playing shows in support of the album. In 2023, Muzz released their second album, "The Promotion".
