James Grant (Ontario politician)
James Grant (born c. 1842, died June 25, 1915) was a Canadian politician. He served as a Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, representing the riding of Ontario South from 1886 to 1890. He was a member of the Liberal Party.
Grant was born in Scotland around 1842 and emigrated to Canada. Prior to entering provincial politics, he was a farmer and businessman in the Ontario County area. He defeated the Conservative incumbent in the 1886 election. He was defeated in the 1890 election.
He died in Whitby, Ontario, on June 25, 1915.
